WELCOME, BLUEBELL! We are delighted to introduce you to our dear piggy pal. First, some backstory!

Bluebell Pig is named after a beloved figure of Hazel Village legend: Bluebell, Hero-Pig! The animals often tell each other stories about that Bluebell, and how she was a Master Truffler, Keen of Snout, Brave and True, and Kind to All. Lots of pigs get named after the original Bluebell in the world of Hazel Village, because she simply set such a stunning example of pighood. You may recall that the animals' mini truffle pig dolly also shares the name.

Bluebell Pig – $60

Bluebell Pig, when she’s out and about, likes to braid flowers and grasses into little crowns. Sometimes for herself, sometimes for friends when she knows their favorite flower, and sometimes for new friends she doesn’t know yet.

Bluebell will arrive at your home swaddled in a complimentary special edition bandana from the time she attended Truffle Fest, the most delicious gathering!

Bluebell is handmade from light pink and cocoa brown organic cotton fleece. Her eyes, forehead bristles, and chin bristles are hand embroidered with cotton thread. She has cloven hooves and a curly elastic tail, and her ears are lined in pink linen.

 

Flower Braiding Tunic for Dolls – $16

Bluebell Pig’s favorite frock is made of navy cotton with a print of bountiful blue and white flowers. It has white piping trim, elbow length sleeves, and velcro back closure. Tunic-length, so Bluebell pairs it with her favorite bloomers. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

Calico Bloomers for Dolls – $12

The pattern of dots and crosshatching on these bloomers reminds Bluebell of Pick the Pebble, a game she used to play as a piglet. Ivory cotton bloomers with a dainty calico print, elastic waist and cuffs, and a thoughtful tail hole. Handmade with love in our Brooklyn workshop.

Truffle Hunting Overalls for Dolls – $16

Bluebell Pig is a truffling enthusiast! She wears her truffle hunting overalls to go deep in the woods and dig in the soft earth, searching for those delectable treasures. Made from dark brown cotton with a tonal leafy print, these overalls have: a working bib pocket, linen knee patches, a thoughtful tail hole, and velcro back closure. Dressy Summer Suit for Dolls – $20

When Bluebell Pig wants to dress up fancy in the summertime, she wears her finest bloomer suit. It is made of lightweight white cotton and trimmed with wide bands of cotton lace at the collar and cuffs. Elastic waist, velcro back closure, and a thoughtful tail hole. Tufted Sun Hat for Dolls – $16

A stylish and practical sun hat, made from tufted white cotton and adorned with a fancy silk version of Bluebell Pig’s namesake flower. Its broad front and back brim overlap on the sides, and it has comfortable ear holes. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

Bluebell Pig’s backpack is roomy enough to carry the magnitude of truffles she finds, plus a spare flower crown in case she makes a new friend. Bluebell Pig’s necklace is a string of beautiful blue glass seed beads, tied securely onto a length of pale blue-green ribbon. What a special trinket! Handmade by our artisan partners in Nepal. Recommended for ages 6+.
