Someone has been tunneling around Hazel Village, thoughtfully leaving certain items nearby creatures who he sensed might also like them. At last, the other animals spotted a pink nose poking up from a hole in the ground. And who should pop out but their new friend, BAXTER MOLE!

Baxter Mole – $60

Baxter Mole knows that many friends never think about the creatures under the ground. But in his diggings and tunnelings, he has met several delightful worms, centipedes, and things like that. He also likes to snuffle the nice earthy smell.

Baxter is made from organic cotton fleece and stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfill. His face is hand-embroidered with cotton thread. He was handmade by our artisan partners in Nepal, and will arrive at your home swaddled in our complimentary gift wrap.

Soil Strata Shirt for Dolls – $16

As a creature who spends much of his time underground, Baxter Mole has a special perspective on the soil. This shirt is made from custom woven cotton with earth tones in varied stripes, to represent layers of soil and sedimentary rock. Its curved hem is cut high on either side, and it fastens with two real shell buttons. Handmade by our artisan partners in Sri Lanka.

Please note: because of its special fabric, this shirt has natural variation in the sleeves. Requests for certain sleeves cannot be accommodated. We think all of them are just lovely!

Recommended for ages 3+.

Duster Jumpsuit for Dolls – $22

Baxter doesn’t mind getting dirty, but he likes to wear this duster jumpsuit when he is digging and tunneling. It keeps him cozy while also protecting his fur and his other clothes. Made from mossy green cotton with a nice big hood and a dark green corduroy brim. Fastens with two real shell buttons. Handmade by our artisan partners in Colombia.

Magnifying Goggles for Dolls – $20
Limit of 1 per household

Baxter Mole doesn’t have the strongest eyesight, so he wears his magnifying goggles most of the time. (He lets his friends borrow them if they’d like to study how beautiful the dirt looks up close.) Plastic magnifying lenses are stacked between sturdy nylon rings, sewn inside a snug shell of dark green linen, and affixed to a black elastic band. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

Recommended for ages 3+.

This dark gray faux wool hat has a pointy shape with a braided tassel in outdoorsy colors. Its folded brim is trimmed with narrow white piping. It does not have ear holes, since Baxter Mole doesn’t need them and it is his hat. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

This earthy brown sweater is bulkier than the animals’ usual knitwear, and as cozy as cozy can be. It has a high collar and fastens with two wooden toggle buttons stitched on with dark green thread. Hand knit from merino wool yarn by our artisan partners in Nepal.
