We welcome visitors to our Meadow Shop, located inside Hazel Village’s industrious workshop in Brooklyn, NY. When you visit the Meadow Shop, you will step into the world of the Hazel Village animals. A stunningly immersive woodland meadow mural adorns all four walls of the shop. Our founder Jane designed this artwork to make it  feel as if you are standing in the High Meadow at the northernmost point of Hazel Village. It is quite magical! Explore the mural to find many different kinds of wildflowers and forest trees; gaze through the orchard and spy the animals’ Lodge in the distance; and try to spot the trail trinkets left behind by Annicke Mouse.

During your visit you can shop our full range of handmade dolls & animals, dress-up doll clothing, and other fanciful gifts (such as our children’s storybook, The Gifts of the Year). Get to know our woodland friends to choose your perfect pal, and dress them up in our bountiful collection of dolly outfits to build your ideal wardrobe. What fun!

Before you depart, you will be gifted a special keepsake to take home: our 2024 commemorative Meadow Shop embroidered patch. We hope this token of our appreciation will help you fondly remember your visit to Hazel Village!

Plan your visit:

Please make sure to book an appointment before your visit – we cannot accommodate walk-in shopping.

We are located at:

240 Huntington Street
Suite 202
Brooklyn NY 11231

Due to an amusing and confusing mixup, our building has a very large 300 sign on it. Worry not – when you enter the vestibule, you will see Hazel Village listed under the building directory. Give us a ring and we will buzz you in! We are on the second floor, Suite 202. (You will see the Hazel Village sign on our door at the end of the hallway.)

If you are taking the subway, we recommend navigating to Carroll Street station on the F or G trains. From there you can enjoy a lovely 10 minute stroll down Court street, which has many nice restaurants and shops, to arrive at our building.

If you are driving in, you can find free street parking throughout our neighborhood or 2-hour metered parking along Court Street. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the availability of parking spots on the day of your visit, so please plan accordingly.

Our Carroll Gardens neighborhood offers many wonderful attractions to make your visit even more delightful. Within a 10 minute walk from our shop, we can recommend:

  • F&F Pizzeria at 459 Court St. (casual slice shop with backyard seating)
  • Court Street Grocers at 485 Court St. (specialty market with big sandwich menu and indoor/outdoor seating)
  • Nerd Be Cool Espresso Lab at 518 Court St. (small coffee shop with lots of pastries)

There is also a playground across the street from our building.

Meadow Shop FAQ:

Can I tour your workshop while I’m there?
Alas, we cannot accommodate tours of the Hazel Village workshop. Our small team is always busily working on many projects, and we wouldn’t want to distract them or to spoil any surprises for you.

Will my shopping appointment be private?
Our appointment slots can be booked by up to 2 shoppers/groups, so it is possible you may be shopping alongside another party. The Meadow Shop can accommodate groups of up to 15 people. If you are bringing a large group, please let us know so our team can be prepared to accommodate you. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome!

Is everything on your website available in-store?
Yes! Hazel Village operates entirely out of our Brooklyn workshop, so everything that you see on our website can also be found in the Meadow Shop.

Can I get my doll monogrammed at the shop?
Possibly! If a monogram elf is available at the time of your visit, we can monogram your chosen doll that day. If not, we may ask you to come back later to pick up your monogrammed doll so we have time to complete this customization for you. If you are visiting from out of town, we can ship your purchases to your home.

Can I meet Jane?
If Jane is around when you visit, she would be very happy to say hello!
