Peaseblossom Unicorn Returns with a Rainbow Festival!

WELCOME BACK, PEASEBLOSSOM!! Our magical unicorn friend has returned for another visit, and the animals are celebrating with a RAINBOW FESTIVAL! This collection will be live on our site on Wednesday, July 9th at 1 PM ET! 🌈

Hazel Village is bustling with preparations for the planned festivities. The animals are making exciting costumes to wear, preparing rainbow colors of iced tea and juice for refreshments, and most importantly, practicing their Grand Rainbow Dance. Peaseblossom is presiding over everything and offering helpful princessly advice. A splendid time is sure to be had by all!

This collection includes 10 items – Peaseblossom Unicorn herself, three pieces of her magical attire, and six rainbow costumes. There is a purchase limit of 1 per household for everything, which will be lifted 24 hours after launch.

Read on for all the details of this collection! In case you are curious about Peaseblossom's history, we've also included a few pictures from her 2019 debut at the bottom of this blog post ♥️

Peaseblossom Unicorn – $54
Limit of 1 per household

As twilight fell on Midsummer’s Day, some of the animals noticed a rustling in the undergrowth, as soft as a firefly's twinkle. They all peered into the forest, wondering. Then they saw: it was a unicorn! She stepped out from a grove of hazel and elderberry, just as lovely as you please and surrounded by soft mist. She said, "Greetings, animals! I am Peaseblossom. I am most delighted to make your acquaintance.”

Peaseblossom’s mane and tail are made from ivory wool yarn with subtle sparkles of metallic silver. Her metallic silver linen horn is artfully twisted and hand-sewn to create the perfect magical shape.

You can download a free printable of Peaseblossom's diploma from Princess School here, along with a blank one for any other princesses you might know!

The other animals asked Peaseblossom why she chose such a dark and mysterious crown for the Rainbow Festival. She taught them the wise words she had learned at Princess School: Not ‘til stormy skies clear will a rainbow appear! “It seems only fair,” said Peaseblossom with grace, “that the storm should be part of my festival garb.” This special crown is made from gray wool felt which was cut into a cloud-like shape, hand-stitched with care, and adorned with swirls of silvery glass beads. Handmade by our very skilled artisan partners in Nepal. Velcro closure.

Jane's original artwork for Peaseblossom's postcard

A walk down memory lane...

Peaseblossom Unicorn first visited Hazel Village back in June 2019. She arrived on the night of the Firefly Ball, appearing from the trees at the meadow's edge surrounded by softly glowing fireflies. Jane painted the scene below to depict the magical moment when the other animals saw Peaseblossom appear. Gwendolyn Raccoon was so surprised that she dropped her cherry pie!

Here is what Peaseblossom looked like in 2019:

Here is a picture of her original collection:

And her Princess School diploma:

And here is another painting Jane made back in 2019, of the animals holding a Grand Banquet to celebrate Peaseblossom's arrival!
