The Gifts of the Year Collection will be live on our site this Tuesday, November 18th, at 1 PM ET! This collection includes the second edition of our storybook; a special embroidered patch; and five items of doll clothing and accessories which can all be found in the pages of The Gifts of the Year. How special!

There is a purchase limit of 1 per household for all items in this collection EXCEPT for The Gifts of the Year itself. Purchase limits will be lifted 24 hours after launch.

If you already own The Gifts of the Year, consider gifting a copy to a friend! Gwendolyn Raccoon will not be included on the collection page, but this would be an excellent opportunity to add her to your Village as well ♥️🦝 If you do not wish to purchase another copy of the book, but you click the ‘Buy Full Collection’ button at launch time, make sure to remove the book from your cart before checking out.

The Gifts of the Year – $18

Written and illustrated by Hazel Village founder Jane Van Cleef, The Gifts of the Year stars Gwendolyn Raccoon but includes all the Hazel Village animal friends. Hard cover with gold foil lettering, 32 pages, printed in full color on heavy, cream colored, recycled paper. 7.125”x 8.25”. Ideal for ages 3-8. This second edition of The Gifts of the Year features an updated cover with a lovely sage green cloth spine.

Gwendolyn Raccoon and her woodland animal friends enjoy every season in Hazel Village. They celebrate holidays; harvest the treasures of field and forest; and make nice presents for their friends. By the longest night of the year, Gwendolyn has made many fine presents and wrapped them up as nicely as pie. What will she do with them next, and what will she find in the morning?

Gift Wrapping Vest for Dolls – $24

Limit of 1 per household

Gwendolyn Raccoon likes to wear this cozy vest while she is wrapping nice presents for her friends. It has cute bobble details and tiny pockets, in case Gwendolyn wants to carry a trinket or two. Hand knit from beautiful blue baby alpaca yarn by our artisan partners in Peru.

Snowfall Blouse for Dolls – $14

Limit of 1 per household

A simple yet classic white cotton blouse, which looks particularly nice as a layering piece. It has a Peter Pan collar with a decorative bow, and 3/4 length sleeves with elastic cuffs. Velcro back closure. Handmade by our artisan partners in Colombia.

Winter Evening Pinafore for Dolls – $16

Limit of 1 per household

A navy blue pinafore made from the softest, coziest woolen flannel – perfect for the chilly winter months at Hazel Village. It has a full pleated skirt, an apron-style bib, and velcro back closure. Handmade with love in our Brooklyn workshop.

Cozy Squash Hat for Dolls – $18

Limit of 1 per household

This hat keeps Gwendolyn Raccoon’s ears warm when she is down in the animals’ root cellar, admiring the harvest bounty. Its scalloped shape resembles a pattypan squash, which happens to be Gwendolyn’s favorite kind. Light brown cotton flannel with a red pom-pom on top. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

Friendship Quilt for Dolls – $42

Limit of 1 per household

This cotton patchwork quilt is not only a play-ready dolly blanket, but also an intricate piece of handmade art! Measuring twelve by fourteen inches, it is the perfect size to tuck your animals in all nice and cozy. It features three block prints with our original artwork of radishes, ferns, and juneberries. The ikat backing is yarn-dyed and hand-loomed, and the quilt is embellished with decorative hand stitching. Handmade with great care by our artisan partners in India.

The Friendship Quilt will be RESTOCKING in early December!

Present Tree Embroidered Patch – $8

Limit of 1 per household

The Hazel Village animals adorn their Present Tree with colorful ribbons to mark the different seasons. On the longest night of the year, they decorate its branches with presents for the birds and put their presents for one another underneath it. This special embroidered patch measures 3” across, and may be either ironed or sewn onto your chosen belongings.
