Charlotte Bear Returns for Bee Appreciation!

Charlotte Bear and her Bee Appreciation Collection will be live on our site this Wednesday, September 10th at 1 PM ET! There is a purchase limit of 1 per household for each item, which will be lifted 24 hours after launch.

WELCOME BACK, CHARLOTTE! Our limited-edition friend Charlotte Bear first visited Hazel Village in January of 2022. When we started planning a bee-themed collection for late summer/early fall 2025, we realized that it was the perfect opportunity for Charlotte to return. Who better to help us celebrate bees than the biggest honey enthusiast we know? 🍯

The Hazel Village animals would like to make sure that you understand just how important bees are. Not only do bees make delicious honey, they also pollinate 80% of all flowering plants – which includes most of the fruit and vegetable crops we eat. That is quite a big ecological impact!

We will be donating 10% of our launch day sales for Charlotte Bear and her Mini Bee dolly to The Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund, a nonprofit organization that establishes high-quality habitat to ensure pollinator populations thrive. Thank you for helping us take care of our helpful bee friends!

Charlotte Bear wonders if you might like to share her snacks. She has bread and jam, also bread and honey. After that, she’ll take a little snooze in some dappled shade by the meadow’s edge.

Charlotte is handmade from organic cotton fleece and stuffed with hypoallergenic polyfill. Her face is hand-embroidered with cotton embroidery thread, and her ears are lined in pale pink linen.

10% of our launch day sales for Charlotte Bear will be donated to The Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund.

Honey Gingham Dress for Dolls – $16

This yellow gingham dress reminds Charlotte Bear of the most delicious honey, kindly shared by her generous bee friends. Bee Costume for Dolls – $36
Limit of 1 per household

“BZZZZZZZZ!” That was Charlotte Bear doing her best bee impression. The Hazel Village animals like to appreciate their friends, the helpful bees, by dressing up as them and doing industrious bee dances. This delightfully round costume looks just like a well-fed bee. It is made from black and yellow linen, fully lined, and lightly padded with stuffing. Artfully designed with a softly pointed shape in the posterior. A pair of white cotton wings, hand-stitched with delicate veins, trail from the shoulders. A black bonnet with cute bee antennas completes the look. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

Mini Bumblebee – $18
Limit of 1 per household

Charlotte Bear says her cuddly bee dolly is named Susie. Susie the bee is made of organic cotton fleece and is almost as fuzzy as a real bumblebee. She has six little legs, soft antennae, and hand-embroidered wings. Handmade by our talented artisan partners in Cambodia.

10% of our launch day sales for this mini bee will be donated to The Bee and Butterfly Habitat Fund.

Beekeeper Outfit Set for Dolls – $36

Charlotte Bear wears her beekeeping gear to look after the Hazel Village beehives, which are up in the High Meadow near the animals’ Guest House. Charlotte says the bees don’t usually try to sting her, but suiting up is best practice just in case. Set includes:

  • A light brown woven cotton jumpsuit which has long sleeves and attached booties with suede soles. Pleated at the front collar for a roomy shape. Velcro back closure.
  • A matching hat with a wide brim lined in blue-gray gingham. The attached white mesh veil with elastic at the bottom protects Charlotte’s face from any grumpy bees.
  • A pair of matching mitts with elastic wrists and yellow floral trim. Each mitt is stamped with our original bee artwork.

This set was handmade by our artisan partners in Colombia.
