Straw Bonnet for Dolls

A handwoven straw bonnet which fits beautifully on any Hazel Village friend. It sits just behind the ears (or the eyes, if you are a toad) and ties securely under the chin with cotton twill tape strings. Finished with a hatband of dark brown grosgrain ribbon. Handmade by our artisan partners in Peru.

    While well made, this one isn't my favorite...

    I can only say the fit isn't good for my HV friends. It doesn't go on Toby... and it smooshes the ears of my other HV friends. I wish it had something special - like cut outs for the animal ears - or maybe a tad bit larger to fit better. I now see the title of the Straw Bonnet specifically says Dolls... which is probably why I'm not found of it (I have no dolls to test it on). Most of my items mix and match just fine on the full sized animals, but this is one I was surprised did not.

    Frogs’ necessity

    Lewis’ summer must-have: a hat to keep his water loving skin cool. Such a darling little piece and well made. Lewis pairs it with his fancy tapestry romper for Princess Gertrude’s court when he is in charge of entertaining or tending to the ponds and gardens, but also with his cords when strolling through the forest or to the bookshops and coffee shops.

    Highly recommended for toads

    This hat will look good on everyone but it does look especially wonderful on Ella toad! I love seeing more things that the toads can also wear because of the placement of their eyes.
