Spotted Mushroom Beret for Dolls

If an animal wearing this hat were to sit very still alongside a woodland trail and think mushroom-y thoughts, a passerby might just mistake them for a real amanita muscaria*. (Lucy Owl says that is the scholarly name for this kind of mushroom.) Knit from merino wool yarn in an earthy red color with scattered white spots. Has a nice slouchy fit, a wide rib knit brim, and thoughtful ear holes. Handmade by our artisan partners in Nepal.

*Lucy Owl also notes that this type of mushroom, though pretty to look at, is NOT SAFE TO EAT. Good advice, Lucy!

    Warm red

This is a warm red and very cute. There’s not a lot of stretch, so it fits better over some friends than others. We like the holes for the ears.

    So cute!

This hat is adorable! It's nice that it has spaces for the ears to go through, so it can be styled as a proper beret or with ears out those top spaces - perfect for animals who dislike having squashed ears.

    Looks good on everyone!

This mushroom hat is a favorite in our village! Since it has ear holes, it works well on any of the animals!
