As Florence Bat flies through the starry night sky, she says hello to all the constellations she can see. When on her recent travels she glanced away from the stars and noticed the familiar forests of Hazel Village below her, she decided to touch down and pay her friends a visit! 💫 🦇

Florence Bat – $60

Sometimes, gliding among the starlit trees, Florence hears the soft wavelets of a forest pool. And sometimes she settles by the mossy bank for a minute, snacking on night bugs and thinking about this and that: her cozy cave, when the moon will rise, her new hat with flowers on it.

Florence Bat is handmade from organic cotton fleece and has hand-embroidered linen wings. If your Florence gets a little grubby, we recommend spot cleaning first and gently hand washing if necessary. Machine washing is not recommended for Florence, because her fancy wings require a little bit of extra care.

Stellar Cape for Dolls – $22

This cape is navy blue like the deep evening sky, and in the lining of its hood hides a secret starry galaxy. Designed with a special hood shape to suit Florence’s ears and arm holes to allow her wings free range of movement. Cotton twill outer, satin lining. Fastens with a navy blue H.V. corozo button and loop. Handmade by our artisan partners in Colombia.

As a creature of night, Florence Bat has always had an affinity for the moon. Her favorite vest fastens with two corozo buttons shaped like crescent moons. It is made from mulberry-colored corduroy with bright teal trim, and has five teal tassels adorning the back. Handmade by our artisan partners in Cambodia.

The silver embroidery on this beret twinkles like faraway stars, so Florence likes to wear it while pondering celestial mysteries. Made from wool felt the color of mulberry juice, and topped with a teal wool pom and pale blue tassel. Hand embroidered with decorative stitching in white and metallic silver thread. Handmade by our artisan partners in Nepal.

The perfect pants to honor Florence Bat’s passion for sweet-smelling night blooms! Made from dark blue cotton with a tonal print of leafy vines and flowers speckled with golden dots. Velcro back closure with a thoughtful tail hole, in case any of Florence’s friends who have tails might want to borrow them. Handmade with love in our Brooklyn workshop.
