Princess Gertrude Swan will be making her Hazel Village debut this Wednesday, November 15th at 1PM ET! We are thrilled to introduce you to our most royal friend 🦢♥️

There is a purchase limit of 2 per household for every item in this collection. We decided on a new system for lifting purchase limits: from now on, limits will always lift 24 hours after launch time for any items that remain in stock. That means limits on Gertrude's collection will lift on Thursday 11/16 at 1PM.

Read on for all the details of this stupendous swan and her fanciful collection!

Gertrude Swan – $48
Limit of 2 per household
Gertrude Swan, first of her name, is a swan princess. As such, she considers the needs of her subjects: do the caterpillars have enough milkweed growing for next year? Would the ducks and frogs appreciate a Jingle Dance performance with her special boots? That kind of thing.

Snow Flurries Tutu Gown for Dolls – $18
Limit of 2 per household
If Gertrude Swan had to pick a very favorite gown, it would be this one. Billowing silver and white tulle sparkles over a white taffeta underskirt, giving the effect of swirling snow flurries. The bodice is made from beautiful gold and verdigris brocade, with pleated sleeves, a wide waistband, and ivory trim at the neck. Skirt fastens with velcro in the back at the waist, while the bodice ties in a bow at the back of the neck. Will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal.
Fancy Neck Ruff for Dolls – $10
Limit of 2 per household
Gertrude Swan says her tall neck is her best feature, and thusly requires appropriate accessorizing. This voluminous neck ruff has two layers of tulle: one cornflower blue traced with silver filigree, and one snowy white with silver sparkles. Wintergreen ribbon trim ties in a bow to secure the ruff. Can be worn with the bow in front or back, and with either blue or white tulle on top. A versatile piece which adds a festive touch to any outfit! Will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal.
Courtly Bloomers for Dolls – $12
Limit of 2 per household
We can’t explain it, but these bloomers on Gertrude Swan come across as frankly dashing. Maybe it’s her royal confidence. Liberty of London white cotton bloomers with a print of wintery flora and fauna. The waistband is made from decorative light blue trim with shining gold accents. Velcro back closure with an overlap in the back for your animal’s tail to stick out. Will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal.
Royal Robe for Dolls – $22
Limit of 2 per household
Gertrude Swan informs us that princess duties require suitably regal attire. This royal robe certainly fits the bill! Icy blue velvet is gathered at the neck, sweeping in a wide cape like the surface of a frozen pond. The tall collar is adorned with hand-embroidered white feathers to accent Gertrude’s magnificent neck. Lined in shining white satin, fastens at the neck with two hook and eye clasps. Not only does this robe keep Gertrude nice and warm, wearing it also helps her get into a noble state of mind so she can better consider the needs of her subjects. How grand! Fits any Hazel Village doll or animal who wants to feel regal.
Wintry Dawn Tiara for Dolls – $12
Limit of 2 per household
A scalloped arch of pale gold suede looks like the first gleam of dawn on a cold winter morning. Accent stitching subtly evokes the feathers of a certain royal swan we know. The band is a fancy trim of intricately twisted yellow gold cord, lined in ivory twill tape for a comfy fit. Velcro back closure, will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal (though toads would have to get creative).
Elegant Party Dress for Dolls – $14
Limit of 2 per household
When the animals heard that a princess was coming to visit, they knew right away that she would be a beacon of wardrobe inspiration. This dress is Gertrude Swan’s look of choice for elegant parties. The wide pleated skirt drapes beautifully, and the sleeveless bodice gracefully accommodates her large wings. Shimmering sage green satin catches the light when she twirls around the dance floor. Any of Gertrude’s friends could also wear this dress – like the very best of royalty, she prizes generosity and will happily share.
Storage Throne for Dolls – $18
Limit of 2 per household
Princess Gertrude Swan sits on this throne to conduct her most royal business, such as asking the caterpillars if they have enough milkweed growing for next year. It is muted sage green with a damask pattern in shiny gold. But that’s not all – this throne is actually a box! The seat is a lid which lifts off to reveal storage space for Gertrude’s personal effects. WOW!
We partnered with a new group of talented artisans in Nepal to craft this special item. It’s made of Lokta paper: paper from the bark of the Lokta bush, a high-altitude Nepalese evergreen shrub. This is a very sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to typical wood based papers. The traditional process of crafting paper goods like this box is still practiced today the same way it has been for thousands of years. Every step is done by hand, and using all natural materials. What a magical piece!
