Animal Costumes

Hazelnut-Exclusive Collection Preview

With a crisp autumn chill in the air, it is the perfect time for a cozy dress-up collection! The woodland friends of Hazel Village are not particularly aware of most human holidays, so we don’t think they know about Halloween. However, they are BIG fans of dressing up in elaborate costumes. These four one-piece animal costumes are super snuggly, perfect for your Villagers to wear when prancing about on a pleasantly spooky fall evening. Shop the collection on Tuesday, October 3rd at 1PM ET!

Alligator Costume for Dolls – $36
Limit of 2 per household
What an exciting opportunity to be an alligator! Lucas Rabbit recommends lying on your tummy and slowly scooting forward for the best effect. Made from forest green cotton jersey, with a pale green tummy panel accent-stitched in neat rows. Hood has screen-printed eyes and a big stuffed snout lined in pink. This costume is fitted with spikey accents from head to toe: white ric-rac teeth on the snout, white ric-rac claws on the hands and feet, and two lines of mossy green ric-rac running from the back of the neck to the tip of the pointed tail. A formidable friend indeed, the alligator! Costume fastens at the neck with a real shell button and will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal.

Tiger Costume for Dolls – $36
Limit of 2 per household
Fearsome! Majestic! Jane painted this stripe pattern, and our partners in Colombia screen-printed it onto rust-colored cotton jersey. The effect is a subtle hand-painted quality which makes this tiger costume all the more special. Costume has a white tummy, pink-lined ears on the hood, white ric-rac claws on the front paws, and a long stripey tail. Fastens at the neck with a real shell button and will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal. Gracie Cat has been practicing crouching in the bushes and leaping out at her friends. She reminds us that it’s not enough to just wear the costume - you have to also think like a tiger. Noted!

Elephant Costume for Dolls – $36
Limit of 2 per household
Arthur Lamb tells us his elephant costume is really good for trumpeting. Soft gray cotton jersey with a white tummy and real shell button closure at the neck. Hood has screen-printed eyes, big ears lined in pink, and a truly stupendous stuffed trunk. This costume’s hands and feet have just the right rounded shape for an elephant, so they are supremely cute. Last but not least, it has a little knotted tail. Handmade in Colombia and will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal. “HRROOOO!!” That was Arthur practicing his elephant noise. Not bad, Arthur!

Bat Costume for Dolls – $36
Limit of 2 per household
After the animals met their friend Florence Bat, they were inspired to make a bat costume so they could match her. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so we hear! This costume is made from soft black cotton jersey with a dark brown tummy panel. The hood has a widow’s peak (just like a certain bat we know), and pink lining in the pointy ears. Bib closure is a real shell button stitched on with marigold thread. Structured cotton wings are attached at the arms for maximum flappability. The animals haven’t quite mastered Florence’s graceful style, but she is giving them some tips. Handmade in Colombia and will fit any Hazel Village doll or animal (except Florence, but she doesn’t need it anyway.)
